At CSIS, we offer quality products at competitive prices with exceptional customer service and, being a “not for profit” organisation, we then donate any available surplus to Civil and Public Service Charities via the CSIS Charity Fund. Since 2007, CSIS has donated over £9million to help put peoples lives back on track.
In addition, during that time the Civil Service Insurance Society has regularly supported many local charities through its Corporate Social Responsibility budget which has seen more than £600,000 donated to good causes.
The CSIS Charity Fund is an independent charity which works with partner organisations to help civil and public servants and their families get through tough periods in life. They also support the spouses of deceased policyholders of the Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS) who may be facing hardship, and they’ve been doing that for more than 100 years.

The CSIS Charity Fund supports a wide range of civil and public servants and their families through grants to charitable organisations, helping them through times of financial hardship, illness or personal stress. Here are just a few of the amazing charitable organisations that the charity fund has supported.
The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times.
They can’t prevent the tricky, stressful, sad stuff from happening but can help when it does.
They have been there for civil servants for generations, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed.
The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship is a national charity dedicated to helping former civil servants and their dependants make the most of their retirement.
They offer a diverse range of services to meet the needs of retired civil servants and their families including a range of national befriending schemes, hosting local community groups and a freephone advice line.
Cavell is a charity supporting UK nurses, midwives and nursing associates, working and retired, when they’re suffering personal or financial hardship and crisis.
Cavell provides grants, advice and a listening ear to nurses, midwives, nursing associates and maternity support workers looking to take charge of their finances and feel more in control. Find out more about how we support Cavell below.
CSIS are also very proud to support a number of local charities and organisations through our Corporate Social Responsibility. Here are some of the wonderful local organisations we have been supporting recently.
