You won't find us on any price comparison sites as we prefer to deal directly with all our customers from initial enquiry, and throughout the life of the policy. We do however have access to a range of well known insurers to ensure we can offer you insurance that meets your needs, and at competitive pricing.

Your home insurance excesses explained

The "excess" is the amount you will be asked to pay towards a claim.
As this may vary depending on the insurance policy you buy from us, we will explain this to you over the telephone when we arrange your quotation.

These amounts may also vary:

  • due to the specific type of insurance or property insured
  • where a higher voluntary deduction has been selected

Your policy schedule will also detail any excesses applicable to your cover, and our friendly team will always be happy to answer any further questions you may have.

Terms and conditions

Home Insurance is underwritten by a range of insurers. Finance, if required, will be provided by Premium Credit Ltd. Please note that all quotations are subject to Terms and Conditions. Full Policy Wordings are available upon request.

At CSIS we always strive to give you the best deal. We have found that, by talking to you rather than asking a standard set of questions, we can better find the right policy for you. We have therefore decided not to offer online quotations at the moment, but to offer a personal service.

Family Legal Expenses Cover

This covers issues such as:

  • Property or employment disputes
  • Personal injury
  • Personal identity theft
  • Consumer Contract Disputes
  • Protecting your Property
  • Tax Enquiries
  • Clinical and Medical Negligence
  • Defence of Your Legal Rights
  • Jury Service and Witness Expenses

Covers up to £100,000 worth of legal costs.

Home Emergency Cover
  • Emergency repairs to your heating, electric or gas supply
  • Internal plumbing and drainage, blockage
  • Failure or leak of your toilet system
  • Pest infestation
  • Windows, doors and locks, lost or broken keys
  • Damage to the roof

There is cover up to £1,000 per emergency, plus a £500 contribution towards a new boiler in the event of your boiler being deemed beyond economic repair.


What information do I need to assist with the quote process?:
  • Property details:
    When was the property built, is any part of the home listed, the type of property (i.e. detached/mid-terrace/bungalow).
  • Structure details:
    What are the walls made of, what type of roof construction, percentage of flat roof.
  • Room Details:
    The total number of rooms including bathrooms and bedrooms.
  • Personal Details:
    Details of previous claims made, and details about any joint applicants.
