CSIS supports local Youth Cafe

Date
April 2018

CSIS is proud to have worked with local Maidstone charity, Switch Youth Cafe, to help provide a £5,000 IT suite to help young people boost their future prospects.

The facility at Switch Youth Cafe in Maidstone High Street provides youngsters with computers to use as part of their ongoing work to help their development. Manager Mark Chase said: "We recognise that not everyone has the ability to do their school work at home, and while schools are meant to provide IT facilities, they are under increased presuusre. We have young people in here all the time asking about job applications, so having somewhere they can get advice and support just made sense. Now we have that help in place, we hope it will have a positive effect on their well-being, so they will be able to lead independent lives and really contribute to society."

The IT Suite was an initiative funded by CSIS, Integral Wealth Management and Golding Vision.
